Please read these terms carefully before using the City Book Publishers website or services.
1. Agreement
By using this website or engaging City Book Publishers for services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Specific projects are also governed by the written agreement or quote you accept.
2. Our services
We provide ghostwriting, editing, proofreading, formatting, design, publishing, marketing and related services. The scope, timeline and price of each project are set out in your quote or agreement.
3. Ownership & rights
Once your project is paid in full, you own the rights to the finished work we create for you, and royalties from your published book are yours.
We may not display your book in our portfolio without your permission.
4. Payments
Payment terms, including any deposits or instalments, are set out in your agreement. Work may pause if payments are overdue.
5. Revisions & approvals
Work is delivered in stages for your review and approval. Revisions are included as described in your agreement; additional changes outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately.
6. Refunds
If you are not satisfied with the first chapter, you may request a full refund as described in your agreement. Other refund requests are handled case by case.
7. Bookstore & events
Book reservations are held for a limited time. Events are free unless stated otherwise and may be rescheduled or cancelled; we will notify those who have RSVPed.
8. Limitation of liability
We work hard to help your book succeed, but we cannot guarantee specific sales, rankings or reviews. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant service.
